Nestled in the Hill Country, deep in heart of Texas, the Nutcracker Station in Bertram offers the freshest pecans and the greatest candies and jams in Austin and surrounding areas.

Milton Stark remembers driving down the pecan shell covered dirt road to Mr. D. B. Roach’s home, the original owner of the business, when a pound of pecans was only $.25.  D.B. Roach had been in the business of selling pecans for over 30 years, before Mr. Stark took over in 1999.  When he took over selling pecans, he and his wife started in a 10X10 mini storage unit, next to the car wash in Bertram.  With the help of their daughter Kim, they’ve grown into what is today the Nutcracker Station, added a few more shelling machines, more pecan-related candies and other delicacies.

The best part of the business, Milton says, is the different people they’ve met, from all walks of life, the stories they’ve heard and the friendships they’ve made.
